MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

My dream is a world where gifted children who are street related and orphaned grow to realize their rights and achieve their ambitions.

While at street I was not welcome to any home because families thought he would steal their food, and run away, but my aunt rescued me and put me back to school. This motivated me to study and be able to support children and save more like my aunt saved me!

I valued dancing and the arts of film production that is why I created the Walkfree Kids (www.instagram.com/walkfree) and recognized at an early age the unique influence of those in the art and entertainment industries. Yet still, like many of the young talents currently enrolled at Walkfree Children, i grow up in living in extreme poverty and once on street.

After school I was blessed to graduate in accountancy and employed at Kitovu Mobile, while there however, I felt unfulfilled and my aspirations were thwarted, I believed I could create opportunities for street connected children who dream of life as an artists and performers by struggle of poverty. By twenty-four, 1 quit my job to establish Walkfree Children's Foundation.

Through the Walkfree Academy, I strive to provide hope and opportunity for these children to not only thrive in their wellness and education but to realize their dreams of performing and become stars.

Founded by Henry Kizito in 2019 – Walkfree Children’s Foundation is deeply personal for Henry as the organization was founded because of his experience and difficulties faced living on street for 2 years at the age of 10 without a place to call home.

It's Personal for Henry!
